After successfully launching four CTA strategies on Morgan Stanley’s FundLogic Alternatives platform in recent months, the prime broker announced plans to partner with managed futures participant Equinox and Longchamp Asset Management, a French asset manager, to enter the European regulated CTA space.
Morgan Stanley had teamed up with the big names in the industry, including trend followers Winton, QIM as well as Mesirow, known to have a market diversified offering and Quest Partners, a systematic multi-program offering. The likely motivation in adding Longchamp was its relationships in Europe and deep understanding of the regulatory / asset manager base in the region.
